Aligned with our vision is this: any follower of Jesus is openly invited and welcome to propose a contribution to the “About Jesus”, “From the Scriptures”, “Living out Jesus”, “Ministries in Aotearoa”, “A Touch of Theology”, or “Going for a Feed” segments (you can find out more about these on the Segments page). As a beginning step, send a draft script to Contributions@Christia.NZ.

There are a few conditions you need to meet. We require every contribution to one in which: 

1. Jesus is exalted.
2. The gospel is exhibited.
3. The church is exhorted.
4. The kingdom is extended.
5. The Bible is explained.

There are a few more technical requirements, too:

1. The contribution should be 1,000 words absolute maximum or within the time limit of the segment. Anything over this, outside of an acceptable margin of error, will simply be returned without being read or listened to. We’re not trying to reject you, just shape your contribution!
2. If you’re reading from the Scriptures, it is our preference that you first read from Te Paipera Tapu (the Bible in Māori). This is a preference and not a requirement. Otherwise please read primarily from the English Standard Version (this is a requirement!)
3. Your contribution should be a one-off, in other words, it should be fully self-contained. At this stage we are not interested in any series, and please don’t link to anything else you’ve created or blogged for further reading.
4. Your contribution should be your contribution! In other words, nothing you’ve read or heard somewhere else, please. It should be your own work, and any sources you’ve drawn from must be cited.
5. If accepted you should be prepared to record the contribution yourself, that is, you should have the means to record to a good standard and make that recording available digitally.
6. Again, if accepted, we also need a summary of your contribution for the website. Try to keep the website piece about the same length as what you already see. The word limit for the website is around 400 words, in addition to the 1,000 of your script. Please link to any verses used in the NET Bible https://netbible.org/ or ESV online https://www.esv.org/Matthew+1/ (if you don’t know how to do this, we can do it on your behalf).
7. Finally, if accepted, you will need to assign intellectual property to the podcast. This means that we will be free to maintain the contribution in the podcast (we will always ensure your authorship is clear).

Wait a moment. Did you think “Contribute” inferred we wanted money? No way! We are a volunteer group. We receive no payment for our activity and neither do we seek it. In fact, we deliberately don’t want it. If this ever changes, we will let subscribers know and update this page. If you’re wanting to donate in support of this ministry, donate to your local church instead on our behalf.
